Description
ACP's new 7000 square foot facility in Livermore, CA. We currently occupy the right half of the building. The facility consists of a two level production area, a separate lay-up room, and several offices and reception area. We should have lots of room to expand in coming years.
Fabric Cutting Area - As you can see, we have most of our inventory readily available for cutting and packing which allows for faster processing of orders. The new facility allows us to warehouse a larger inventory of fabric than ever before.
Fabric Cutting Area #2 - Another side of the fabric racks that houses smaller rolls of fabrics. Michelle is showing the colored Kevlar/Carbon fiber fabric.
Lay Up Room - A separate area that is temperature controlled for cutting and laying up pre-preg. Having this area extends the shelf life of the pre-preg and ensures a clean, quality lay-up environment.
Autoclave - ACP's new 3 foot diameter by 5 foot long autoclave. The autoclave is used to manufacture molded composite structures. Rated at 200 psi and 700 deg. F, the autoclave allows us to process high temperature epoxy pre-pregs and thermoplastic materials.
Autoclave Control Plane - Fully instrumented, PC controlled process center with six individual vacuum ports.
80 Ton Press - A 24" x 24" heated /water cooled laminating press used to manufacture carbon fiber laminates and Honeycomb panels.
Four 10 Ton Presses - Four 24" x 24" heated platen presses used to manufacture closed mold parts and laminated panels.
